HOW TO CUT FEDERAL SPENDING 75% W/O
CUTTING ANY ESSENTIAL SERVICES
The Constitution was intended "to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity." If only more Americans appreciated ALL that Liberty promises and implies. As Jefferson declared: "The first principle of society is a guarantee of the free exercise of industry and possession of the fruits acquired by it. "Where government lets free men freely gain, KEEP, use, trade or otherwise dispose of their freely acquired possessions, there is Liberty.
If you are an American paying upwards of 50% of your income in combined federal/state/local taxes, you're already half-slave/half-free. That's not American. For, when Congress confers special benefits on SOME, it denies "equal protection under the law" to ALL.
With the US nearly $20 trillion in debt, it's time to send an ARMY of Mr. Smiths to Washington to CUT programs and CLOSE agencies. It's time to shrink this massive behemoth.
The government may tax us, but only as much as it costs to protect us. (and that's way less than 25% of what Washington spends each year).
TO RESTORE PROSPERITY & RETRIEVE THE FOUNDERS' VISION OF LIBERTY: Defund ObamaCare then begin dismantling the rest of the Corporate/Social Welfare State. Let Gov be what our founders meant for it to be: a PROTECTOR not a PROVIDER.
SOCIAL Welfare harms MOST those it pretends to help. You cannot permanently help a man by doing for him what he could and should do for himself. Liberal compassion sends able-bodied men and women to an effort-free wonderland of stigmatized indigence. And CORPORATE Welfare helps the well-connected and corrupt, but harms US all. To take the money out of politics, we'll have to take the power to enrich special interests away from the politicians.
As Frederic Bastiat warned nearly two centuries ago: "It's impossible to introduce into society a greater evil than this, the conversion of Law into an instrument of PLUNDER."For, once a nation decides that some of its citizens have a RIGHT not to go out and get, but to lobby Congress and be given, it finds itself torn by two questions: Who else should be given and how much should they all get? There's only one answer: POLITICS.
The ONLY thing standing between US and the founders' America is the American Welfare State. The Principle of Property stands guard against every public transfer of wealth. Only we let our guard down a long time ago.
