Liberal Democratic Senator, Dianne Feinstein, called for a probe of former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s actions in the email investigation of Hillary Clinton. Sen. Feinstein, the top Democrat who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said she is concerned by the testimony provided by former FBI Director, James Comey, at the Intel Committee Hearing last Thursday.
Comey testified that Lynch directed him to soften the public language he used by changing the word “investigation” to “matter,” a term favored by the Clinton camp during the Presidential campaign. Comey said the directive undermined the integrity of Lynch’s Department of Justice and made him “queasy.”
Senator Feinstein stated on CNN’s “State of Union:”
“I would have a queasy feeling too. I think we need to know more about that. And there’s only one way to know about it and that’s to have the Judiciary Committee take a look at that.”
This is great news for all of those left bothered by Mr. Comey’s revelations! The fact that a ranking minority member wants an investigation means there is a good chance that it will happen.
Other questions remain: Why didn’t James Comey report this improper request as required of him by law? Why wasn’t Loretta Lynch’s clandestine meeting with Bill Clinton on an airplane tarmac explored? Why wasn’t a special prosecutor assigned to this investigation? What other actions did the Justice Department take to cover for Hillary Clinton?
Stay tuned as this story is just beginning to unfold.
