... This interesting prayer was given in Kansas ...
... When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
“Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance.
“We know Your Word says, “Woe to those who call evil good” but that is exactly what we have done.
“We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess that.
“We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism;
“We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism;
“We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle;
“We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery;
“We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare;
“We have killed our unborn and called it choice;
“We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable;
“We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem;
“We have abused power and called it politics;
“We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition;
“We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression;
“We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
“Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today;
cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
“Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of Your will, to open ask it in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen”
The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest ...
This condition comes courtesy of the Left's nihilism, dialectical dithering or "institutionalized relativity," along with their flip-flopping of reality and narrative and is true with or without the religious context of prayer... Sometimes that religious substructure allows for the obvious to be readily seen for these often subtle and definitional changes... this "progress" is not of the good, by the good, or for the good and society, or our "social conscience" has benefitted - nothing - by taking these steps, by us and for us, to nowhere, and taken in our collective name... The Greater Good.
Beware the moral certainty of human nature relativized unto animalistic meaninglessness by "enlightened intellectuals" who believe in their certainty and are, most, certain of their beliefs... They always eat themselves in the end but they often are allowed to obliterate the good in their personal search for the best for others because that's what we all inherently want... Not just the good, but something just a little better. Something that is never defined and easily overlooked if not flat-out denied of its appearance and being.
Denial, deconstruction, relativism, nihilism, willful ignorance, deception ... all negative and destructive tendencies and all used primarily to manifest Leftism's worldview - to initiate their "Narrative" into "physical reality."
Pride and doubt are inextricably linked with doubt, possibly, being the purest of our sins. Many layers of doubt first offered the apple's acceptance to our unknowing at the sacrifice of our innocence. It comes from our innate animalism that carries the image of our creation and we're to fill this void with faith, trust, and understanding instead of just acknowledging an awareness of the existence of this void... An awareness of a "nothingness" helped into an unnaturally assumed, state of being usually aligned with an agenda of sorts held by people who believe they hold a higher vision of the undetermined qualities that substantiate our universe... people who consider themselves our "betters." Man's free-will gives him sovereignty over his inner-failings - his doubt, but the denial of that doubt's place and purpose, our humility, brings about the worst human nature has to offer - namely Arrogance, an elevated, personalized expression of:
Forever in the wings - waiting for a crack to open between doubt's unwillingness to exit the thought process and certainty's lingering upon entrance, pride slips right in where open doubt is fostered finding a home between the void of unknown potential and destiny's fulfillment; somewhere between the heart and the mind, and in between the desires of ego and longings of human biology... Pride is one's certainty of one's self.
Man, today is proud of his dwelling within the confines of his processed doubt because doubt is the source driving man's desired ability to progress to something better. Progress, not to the good or the better, but to something other than the nothingness of doubt and beyond the presence of what is not. Progress forward and to nowhere.
The internal nihilism in human nature we all carry with us, we fill with faith, trust, and knowing and these fulfillings we pursue, commonly, being human, as happiness and meaning. These we consider and define as, not just good... they are better.
It would not be hard to make the case that the Left prefers the dystopian image their mirror projects and the suffering they abide.
Find the good and better will follow of good's own accord.
