Yesterday, Kevin Spacey was accused of making sexual advancements toward actor Anthony Rapp, who was only 14-years-old. In wake of the allegations against Spacey, Seth MacFarlane appears to have left a hint over a decade ago that joked about Spacey’s sexual predatory misdeeds.
A 2005 video clip from MacFarlane’s animated comedy show Family Guy resurfaced on YouTube, in which one of the characters, an infant named Stewie, is bet eight dollars to run naked through a crowded mall yelling, "Help! I've escaped from Kevin Spacey's basement!" Stewie shouted. “Help me!”
McFarlane strangely has a history of doing this. In light of the recent wave of allegations against Harvey Weinstein, a video of MacFarlane joking about Weinstein’s sexual predatory behavior at the 2013 Oscars went viral.
After announcing the Supporting Actress nominees, MacFarlane said, "Congratulations, you five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein." The video now has over 4 million views on YouTube since being reuploaded a few weeks ago.
It could all be a coincidence, but it’s making some people believe that MacFarlane has been trying to tell us all something important about the sexual predators in Hollywood.
