Greetings from Sunny San Diego California. As I write this my family and I which includes my wife myself my autistic son and my son with ADHD, are all homeless. The four of us along with our German Shepherd, Flicka, are living in our Toyota sienna van. Many people are wondering what it's like. I don't know what it's like for others, but for us it's difficult of course. In the daytime we pretty much hang out at whatever Starbucks we can. We go to different parking lots 2 pass the time or let the boys play a little bit of catch with the football. At night time we staying in place that's called a safe lot. What is a safe flight you may ask? Well, it's a place where someone is homeless but has a vehicle can go and spend the night safely without being harassed by the police or without having to worry about being robbed or something like that or harmed. The safe lot also does sometimes supply some kind of food and beverage. We have to be out of the safe line every morning by 7 a.m. after that is when we go to a park or Starbucks or wherever. How do we eat you might ask well, we do have food stamps and luckily for us, a lot of places take food stamp cards so eat that way as well as her food that they have at the safe lot. Our days are long our van is falling apart and my two boys are at each other's throats seemingly 24/7. But through it all we have God in our corner.
Before you ask what kind of God could allow a family like mine to become homeless please remember one thing, Jesus himself was homeless. In the Bible it says not even the son of man has a place to lay his head referring to Jesus. So in a way, we are in good company. We also have money that comes in every month it is just that the rents out here are astronomically high and what we get from SSI and Cash aid will cover rent, after that it doesn't cover gas and lights phone car insurance the rest of the bills. We are trying to get back on her feet, a friend of mine who might have met in person set up a page for me for my family to help get us back on our feet and here is a link to that... https://www.gofundme.com/family-living-in-a-van-in-need?sharetype=teams&member=1124302&rcid=r01-154266035516-33b04ef9a5d4455d&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_m
It's interesting that this link has over 200 views almost a hundred shares, and only two people donated. That really is a sobering experience. I didn't want to ask for help for my family and myself but my friend insisted on doing something I've been sharing the link as I did here I've been sharing it on Facebook and Twitter and all the other social media sites has been Sharon if you had so many times yet, that are only two donations and one of the donations was from my friend who set up the page in the first place. I'm a good man I'm a man of God I've helped people in different ways I do a lot of things that only God sees and I'm not going to brag about it, our family does need help the windshield of a car as we woke up this morning was dripping water on the inside of the vanwhe. Two oxygen sensors are going out they're making gas mileage really terrible. Yes, God is in our corner and he is on our side God did not make us homeless circumstance made his homeless a person may as homeless not God. I don't normally ask this of my readers but, if you could find it in your heart to the very least share this article everywhere you can think of or perhaps even better share the link and maybe a little contribution would help as well thank you and God bless.
